Accepting The Father's Love |
When you stand Before God on that day what will you answer when He asks you why should He let you into heaven? |
What can you ever really know of other people's souls - of their temptations, their opportunities, their struggles? One soul in the whole of creation you do know: and it is the only one whose fate is placed in your hands. If there is a God, you are, in a sense, alone with Him. You cannot put Him off with speculations about your next door neighbours or memories of what you have read in books. What will all that chatter and hearsay count (will you even be able to remember it?) when the anasthetic fog which we call "nature" or "the real world" fades away and the Presence in which you have always stood becomes palpable, immediate, and unavoidable? C.S. Lewis, Salvation Mere Christianity |
What is the problem? |
God is righteous. Because of our inherent weakness we fall far short of God's measure. We cannot return to God because He cannot be in the presence of unrighteousness (sins). Because of His love for us, He came down to this world in the form of a man, His son, Jesus. In order for us to have a chance of returning to God, there had to be a blood sacrifice to atone for our sins. Jesus became that sacrifice when he was crucified on the cross in our place. After three days, Jesus conquered death and arose from the grave to be the first "resurrected man" and He returned to heaven to wait for your decision or choice. You have to choose Jesus as he is the only way back to God. |
God gave you the ability to accept or reject His Love? |
If you make the choice to accept His wonderful gift, God has made salvation or acceptance of His love as simple as A,B,C. 1. A - Admit Admit that you are a sinner in need of God. 2. B - Believe Believe that Jesus died and rose again for your sins. 3. C - Confess Confess Jesus as Lord of your life. |
<-You've always had the choice --> |
No matter how far you have gone on the wrong road, you can always turn back. That is called repentence. |
