Aimee’s Dream
You had talked about a website you were putting together for God's words or God talking to people right now. I have been thinking about it and wanting to write to you. As I was reading through one of my recent journals I came across one of my dreams I wrote down (3/10/07)and God interpreted for me. This is one of the most recent ones:
I couldn't sleep last night (2:45 am), so after an hour of laying there I got up and checked my email/worked on the web page...finally at 5 am I could go to sleep- so as I'm headed off to sleep...
I dream three different dreams which seem unrelated at the time but as I write them down God reveals a similar thread throughout them all. These are the three dreams:
As we are doing a Bible study in our house another group comes through with their cameras, bright costumes, etc. to film and 'put on' a children's story time.As I'm helping and praying with someone at the Storehouse several groups come through that take my attention away from that one thing. I immediately have to stop and help that group of people.
I'm fixing myself a lunch when I'm told Greg A. (a friends husband) doesn't have one so Amy (his wife) and I go down to this 'work' and give him mine.
When I woke up and was contemplating this it was like all the three things I was starting were being interrupted or disturbed by something else - all of them good but may be not the best...
I asked God what the dream meant and this is what He answered:
Don't allow others to dictate your course -
find your dream / purpose and follow it.
The significance of this is that at the time we were still working at the Storehouse and planning the mission trip for Serbia. We were praying a lot about God's will and making sure we were following it. Both the Storehouse and Serbia are good things but God doesn't want just good - He wants His will to be done. These are things we have been learning about God and He speaks to us through dreams and visions as well as His word and prayer. Not every dream has significance but when you wake up, can remember it in great detail and you cannot get it out of your mind you might want to ask God about it.
